I bought this box on ebay for $70. I thought it would come with more RC's like Topps Chrome does, but was disappointed. I was pissed when I didn't pull a Peyton RC, but I cooled down on my last pack when the Moss RC appeared. 1998 Bowman Chrome didn't come w/ a RC in every pack like the 98' Topps Chrome does and the current Bowman Chrome does. The Peyton, Moss, Hines Ward, C. Woodson are the only cards in the set worth keeping. Probably gonna buy another box since they give you more than you expect, since they don't print anything on the box. Boxes go for around 90 where Im from. The value is worth it if you get ONE HIT. Be aware when purchasing it for too much, the box comes with redemptios inserts but I believe their expired. Use that to drive a seller down.. Thats on me!

First on the product...I really like this set design. It features a heavy card stock with an all white border on the base cards and a slick gloss coating. This is, in my opinion, a huge improvement over the light weight condition sensitive 2007 set. The photos are all action photos and the rookies are either in practice jerseys or their actual team uniforms (what a concept). The masthead on the card features the team name decked out in some kind of carnival ballon pattern. I wasn't a fan in the beginning but I have warmed up to it. As for the box itself...It was a nice print run with no doubles in the entire box. Unfortunatly, there were no guaranteed hits and that's exactly what I got, no hits. The inserts were very week, especially with the Fans of the Game set and the continuation of the Brett Favre ridiculousness. I would have liked to see at least one GU'd but such is life. The product gets an 8 for the slick, appealing design. My box gets a 4

My final thoughts on this box break of 2008 Bowman baseball. It was a really interesting box to break out. I liked the surplus of rookies and the guarantees. I liked all the inserts i pulled and i would definetly get another box of this if i didnt already blow most of my money on the first one. These boxes are now cheaper than originally in some places since its a new year now. I strongly reccomend buying this box. Im not exactly a huge baseball fan myself but i always have liked the thrill of opening a brand new box of cards knowing their could be something sweet inside. My Ken Griffey Jr. Autograph will go in the collection with all my other favorite cards. For the $50 dollars i got this for I would certainly say it was well worth my money. I would rate this product an A- for the value i got back and the excitement it gave me each pack.

Even though there was only one "hit" in this box, I was quite happy with the results. This is a beautiful looking set consisting of artist redered paintings of players from past and present. All the greatest players that have played throughout the history of professional hockey are included. I pulled two different Patrick Roy's, two different Gordie Howe's, a Lemieux, Gretzky, and the man himself, Lord Stanley. I really like this set, although the cards themselves tend to be a little pricey at about $.56 per card based on the box price of $19.99. Overall I would give this set a 9/10 for quality of product and this particular box a 7/10 because of the one hit and high per card value.

Another hobby box I found on a retail shelf for half the hobby price. This set reminds me of the Topps Gold Label series from 98-99. With the full bleed photos overlayed with a digitized color picture of the player, the images are pretty slick looking. As far as the pulls, I would say they are average. Not many high series cards were in the mix (Selanne, Sakic, Kolzig, and Vanek). I pulled one Legacy Collection from the mix as well. The box guarantees were correct and I was quite happy with the Kunitz Auto as I have been looking for one for awhile now. Overall I give it a 7, nothing spectacular but better looking than most others.

Great looking cards in this set. This is one of those GEM boxes where the ultimate hit would be the Crosby or Ovechkin rookies. It is also jam packed with one of the best rookie classes of the 00's. Unfortunately my pulls were the opposite. There are too many rookies numbered to 2999 in my opinion, dropping the value of much of what is pulled. For the amount of parallel and serial numbered cards, it was quite dissapointing to receive none of them. The three game used were also commons, except for the Jokinen Glass Jersey which is still on the bottom end of those cards. Despite the look, feel, and slick design of these cards, I was quite dissapointed with the distribution that I received in mine. Overall I give the product and 8 but my box bust a 6.

Found this one on a shelf at the local Walmart. Hobby boxes are a rarity at a retail store so of course I had to pick it up. Nice looking, retro feel cards. They look like tv screens around the borders. Only beef with these is that some of the new player jersey's are obviously airbrushed. The backs have nice write ups on the players except for the rookies making no mention of their draft positions or teams which is, i guess not that significant for most people. Box turn over was real good. More rookies than stated, lots of numbered cards, and pulling an out of 10 card was a nice surprise for once. Overall I would give this a 9 for value. If you can find one of these under $40 bucks I would definitely recommend them.

Considering the GU are supposed to be 1/24, I was happy to pull one (especially since Fedotenko has been a beast for Pittsburgh thus far). The other inserts are uninspiring. Two rookies in the box was a bit disappointing since I had opened one last year and got 4 but of course there are no guarantees. As for the set, biggest shock was no dups. UD is notorious for having a few duplicate packs recycled throughout the mix but not in here. Overall, typical clean looking action shots for an Upper Deck standard issue.

Was a little disappointed with the inserts...Ive had better pulls from $10 retail boxes of the same product. In fact I already had half of the inserts I pulled from this box. It did give me alot of base cards of players I am collecting, so that worked out. To someone breaking boxes for profit, this is not the box to buy.

considering i only paid 32.50 plus shipping and handling i consider it to be a good box. I bought it for my friend as a birthday present and he really enjoyed it. For so many cards per pox i was hoping for a little bit more inserts but the josh smith jersey made his day. If i had the choice to purchase the box again i guess i would considering it was a fun thing to do. I mean if you are looking to get someone started with card collecting this is the box because there is so many cards and probably a hit one and every other box. I wish there were more parallels. My favorite part about the box was the price. I was expecting to get junk out of the box then when he pulled the jersey card i guess u could then say it was a good box. If i could make one more complaint about the box there was a few scrathces on the cards. But all in all i think it was a great beggineers box. I think i would definetly reccomend this box of 2007-2008 topps basketball. If u like quantity over Quaility this is the box for you .

My final thoughts on Topps Rookies and prospects is that this box is a great way to get all the top rookies and maybe pull a rookie auto or nice patch. I was satisfied pulling all of the top rookies. With 24 packs i had fun breaking it. It was interesting to find that one pack had five rookies in it which would explain why i pulled thirty-two rookies when the box definatly only garuntees twenty four. For around thirty dollars this product is a great way to get 2 hits and most of the rookie class in one box. I think the box is a very reasonable price and i recommend it for beginners or just for people who dont want to spend alot of money. The secoundary value of the base cards and rookies are below average unless you get a inserted numbered card. I only pulled two numbered cards the J.P. Losman and the Ambobi Okoye. Unfortunatly I didnt pull an auto from this box. If you are searching for autos dont waste your money on this box. But for around 30 dollars you can bust 24 packs and get great enjoyment!

Spx is mazing box this one did not turn out to be as great as I thought it would be. But at least it brought a one of one unknown autograph redemption I would want it to be a daiske matsuzakah auto rookie card I heard it costs over one hundred dollars if you dont think thats a good card then you must have really really good cards. I rate this spx 2007 box a B because I was really expecting something much better. But I chose the 2007 spx box because I have heard from my friends and other people that they know other people that have bought the spx box and they have gotten blowout things including one of one rookie auto jersey cards. I guess this box was not one of those blowout boxes. Next time I will buy another until I get that blowout box that I've been looking for. Unfortunatly none of my cards are up for trade because I dont know how much they would sell for and I dont really want to lose my money. As usual i got squat. I was happy with my rookie though. The refractors always attract collectors every year. I think i did okay with them. Got a Maroney X-Fractor/250, Odell Thurman Blue Refractor/150, and a Roman Harper Gold Refractor/50. The Base set is always fun to go after. I think i was cheated with the auto though. In my first box (this one im reviewing) i got a brian calhoun auto. In box 2, (not being reviewed), i got a dave thomas auto. One Thing i noticed was the javon walker card. It has alot of chrome on it and doesnt look right. I think they did a great job airbrushing players into their new jerseys. I love reading the personal facts on the back of the cards. I think the desing is much better than last year, especially because the autos arent vertical. The box toppers could be in better shape though. My Mathias Kiwanuka topper was scratched and had some cardboard in between the sides. The refractor autos look great. I think the feltback flashback cards are neat, but to hard to find. I was happy with this product. Though i didnt get an auto patch, the vince young/ lendale white auto /50 made up for it. Too bad im stupid and sold it for $100.00. I encourage anybody to go and get a box of this. Even the patch/autos of terrible players look nice. I believe the lowest one is $60. The base set has an okay design but i dont like the nfl logo in the background. Its pretty easy to pay off the box with one of those patch/autos and from what i know, the bush logo patch/auto is still out there! :) With such a strong draft class you have good odds of getting a great player. The Jay Cutler auto/99 books in the 1,000-1,200 range.If you only want a patch/auto though its smarter to go and buy one. It will save money, and also guarantee that you get one. The Sp authentic autos set has an okay looking design, and the player selection could be better. The same goes for the base rookie autos. Ive noticed that the base set and rookie autos chip easily also. The Chirography autos look great. I dont care if they look like cut autos they are still neat. Great Product But The Weak Draft Class Really Weighs It Down. Love That You Get 1 Jersey, 1 Prime, and 1 Auto or Jumbo Swatch. Product has a great deisgn and is loaded with patches.Unfortunately i got a jumbo jersey instead of an auto and it was of Ricky Williams. The weak draft class is a big turn off but it also makes this more of a bargain because its at a lower price and is full of autographs legends and of star players. The Base jumbo patches are fantastic and have a great design. I wouldnt let my terrible break make you decide not to purchase this product. I just cant get over some of the patches ive seen out of gridiron gear.
